Any suggestions on label applicators ?
Have seen a few that seem clunky.
We need to do 200 cs this year, 500 next, want front and back alternating.
Sheldon, even for 200 cases, it seems like it makes sense to do a mobile bottling line, no?
Well, its down to 125 left to go, we did first 75 in about 7 hrs, figure with 3 people could do 125 about 10-12. Can’t see hauling in a truck for that little, especially since I don’t have more that 15A 120V power out there yet.

When I helped on hand bottling lines, the best I recall we did in a day was 175 cases (fairly long day with set-up time, break for lunch, and some cleaning at the end). But if you only had 2-3 people, you need a bigger crew: sparging, filling, corking, capsule spinning, labeling, filling boxes and stacking, and helps to have a couple others to wipe down bottles and schlepping materials. I also think a single wrap-around label is easier, at least with many of the hand applicators.

We do 200 cases in 4.5 hours with 7 people on the line. Plus lunch etc. and a bit of set-up and clean up, which is usually 2-3 people, 20-30 min. on each end of the day. That is with a 5 bottle filler, single labels and white glue. We have a 3 phase corker and a pretty experience crew.
Ended up with a race label “razor”. Just got colas, will fire it up in a few weeks.
