Beer of the year...

Weyerbacher Riserva, the wild ale brewed with raspberries and aged in oak. About $18 for a 750. Exceptionally tart but rich and complex. One of those beers that stretches your conception of “beer.”
Delicious.

Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout. A monster, for sure, but one of the best beers I ever had.

2014 The Event Horizon. $12.99 for 22 ounces and 20% off a case purchase locally. I think this is the perfect barrel aged stout. At 8.5% abv it is way less boozy than BCBS. Can’t wait to try the rum barrel versions. This beer effectively ended my infatuation with Westbrook and Evil Twin.

Fremont Cowiche Canyon Fresh Hop

Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout. Really nice, especially as it warmed up in the glass.

I feel compelled to add an IPA, so I’ll throw out the Fort George collab with Boneyard and Block 15 - “3 Way.” Very few beers have me driving around from place to place trying to score more; this one did it and was fantastic.
