Will be rolling into Bakersfield for one night on our way to Napa. Looking for any recommendations or a possible mini offline.

Porsche Owners Club has a track weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway, not too far from Bakersfield, that very weekend. Maybe you should go check that out.

Wow dude, you might want to hit Google maps again. Stopping in Bakersfield shouldn’t have to happen.

If you really want to drink hit Jeff Cagle up on Facebook would be my best guess. Not sure if and how often he checks in here.

We are doing Houston to Albuquerque…ABQ to Bakersfield…and then into Napa. That ABQ stretch doesn’t leave too many places to stop once in CA.

Bakersfield? Are you serious? Do you hate yourself? Do you hate your wife? Go to Paso instead … the (short) xtra distance will be very worth it.

Looks like lots of interesting events going on that weekend. Probably won’t make it, though, as I’m pretty sure I’ll be up there the second weekend of November. If I do happen to make it, however, I’ll certainly let you know. [cheers.gif]

Looks like we will have to make some adjustments. Bakersfield only has no-tell motels available. Guess the track car thing at Buttonwillow has tied up all the rooms.
