Bacon caramel popcorn

Saw a picture of this on Scott Manlin’s fb page and decided to replicate this today.

Here is the recipe I am using…Daily Feed - February 1-8

Also, will deviate from the recipe and cook the popcorn in bacon fat.

V, my grandpa used to make popcorn in bacon fat all the time. It will kill you, almost instantly, but you will die SO happy.

my only thought when reading the title of this thread was “oooh, that can only be good!”

the bacon fat idea, of course, sounds awesome!

My favorite popcorn: Pop in bacon fat, add plenty of fresh ground black pepper, crumbled bacon, and a dusting of Parmigiano Reggiano. Best with Krug Grand Cuvée, but use what you have.

I’ve done this as an appetizer for a couple of dinner parties and it goes over quite well.

tasted this at Wine Ex recently–somebody had brought some in. The combination worked–delicious!

LOL! Did it come in a clear plastic treat bag? That was probably me. I brought some to the Wine Ex guys last week (Thursday). Here is a picture…
