Back vintage (84/5?) dessert-wine (port/Sauternes?) recommendations

I was born in 1985 and have had great luck with 1985 ports and Bordeaux. Believe it or not the best American 1985 I’ve had is the Joseph Swan Estate Pinot thanks to fellow WBer Tom Gutting. Generally speaking, 1985 is a great birth year because it was pretty good in a wide range of regions (Port, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Napa, Barolo, Tuscany). Higher end, well stored bottles should drink pretty well.

Donn Hein who is a member here helped me source some very well kept 85s for my 35th last year and all showed beautifully. I’d PM Donn. Great to work with.
