Awesome Video With Sean Thackery!!

I’ve only had his wines 2 or 3 times, but will be trying a LOT more after seeing this video. Whoever filmed it really has a great eye for visuals. The video is 16 minutes long and worth watching when you have the time to see it from beginning to end.

There is so much on this video worth discussing. Hope you like it!

PS- this was originall posted by S. Chen on the other board.

i have watched this a few times and feel Sean is iconic based upon this film. i have always shared his view on winemaker vs terroir and have always been shouted down for expressing these thoughts.

That was enjoyable, thanks for posting Roy. What a character he is!

Get the hell out of here!!! neener

Love that video. One of the only bottles I still kick myself over not buying was a Taurus Mourvedre when I first got into wine in the mid-90s.

P.S. Thackrey. [basic-smile.gif]

Thanks Roy, watched the video this afternoon after seeing Sam’s post and was riveted. Loved the library segment. Talk about “old school” - 9th-16th century winemaking texts.

I had seen some recent items on Thackrey and thought that I needed to try his wine. I was lucky enough to snag an 07 Orion the other day. Sam gave it a great TN, but I can’t imagine opening an '07 so young. I guess I’ll need to find something with some age on it to be able to try it now, or perhaps one of the Sirus with a couple of years on it.

Alas, so much interesting wine…so little time (and even less $$ to spend).

Cheers,

Steve
