Aubert on the way, who'll crack one first?

I just got an E-mail from UPS that my Aubert Chards are on the way.

I’ll pobably let them rest for a few weeks before trying the first one, so I was wondering if anybody else wouldn’t be able to keep their hands off them and was going to pop one open and take one for the team as soon as they arrive.

I might. Mine are due here today. I can tell you it will not be a Reuling, based on a recent bottle of 2008. But I might be tempted by Ritchie. Depends on the weather [cheers.gif] .

This was my first offer from them and they get here tomorrow. It won’t be long for me.

I would definitely open a Ritchie first. It always seems to be the most approachable early on. The other ones should sleep for a little while.

Oops, I think I might be on the wrong thread.
I saw the headline and clicked, assuming Denis with all his French connections [oops again, wrong phrase] had received his usual allocation of “Chards” from his good friend Aubert de Villaine.
Is it possible I made the wrong assumption?

I like your thinking, but this is the Aubert from Western Burgundy. I hear that the clones might be very similar but who knows?
