I have always assumed that they fall into the typical big oaky buttery California style of chards, the 2012 seem to be very popular so im just curious if my assumption is accurate.

I am a fan of Aubert Chards- Lauren in particular. Big and bold…but I would not put in the buttery category. I think they are best 5-6 years after release.
Oaky yes, buttery no. They typically need a few years to integrate the oak. I like them for what they are. Agree that Lauren is probably the best of the offerings.
Absolutely LOVE Aubert Chardonnay, favorite next to Marcassin.
