Attn: Burg Heads -- Please tell me about this wine

2007 Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle

I grabbed two on a flyer. What do I have? When should I drink it? I know it isn’t a big boy at all, but how is it in the general Burgundy scheme? Thanks, in advance, for your knowledge and help!

I haven’t had this particular wine but I have had several 07 Jadot’s, including Ursules, the regular Gevrey, the Chambolle and NSG Boudots. I find them having structure for 07s but are still drinkable with a healthy decant. Drink one and post a note.

I haven’t tasted the Jadot but the Trapet drank well a while back. I think you should pop one in the interest of scientific research

Yes yes - more ‘science’ needed!

I actually opened an 07 Trapet Gevrey last week that drank brilliantly. Won’t see old bones but why wait when it’s tasty.

Yes I love science…pop one so I know what to do with mine [basic-smile.gif]

should be drinking quite well. Enjoy and report back.

Have a few of these, drinking well. Give it an hour or so of air.
