The 1970 is very good, but one of the most delicate I have had. I had a few bottles and the first I regretted decanting. Of course the last was corked.
There is clearly a difference between lots / late release from the estate vs early release.
09 and 10 are the two vintages I really stocked up on, 48 bottles of each for the cellar, we opened one of each with the interns during harvest and while 10 probably has the edge I’m very happy to have both.
Agreed. There are lots of issues with the website, and I’ve certainly had a few times when I couldn’t order something and just gave up. Also, their documentation of previous orders isn’t very user friendly. Your order info is well documented, but when you want to know what is in stock, you have to email them and get a ten page pdf of random orders. The shipments come with the same info printed out but handwritten notes excluding unavailable wines.
I just had an order missing a few bottles, but it was impossible to tell if they made a mistake on the packing slip or not since it’s just a printout of the order with handwritten notes on it. They’re investigating to see what went wrong, but I’m not sure how they would know if they messed up. I’ve had mostly great experiences and love the offerings, but I also learned from quitting Envoyer that the lowest price isn’t always worth it if I have to spend a lot of time helping coordinate shipping and consolidation.
Hello William, can you expound on the '10 as I am sitting on six bottles. Can it be enjoyed now? What would you recommend decant time? MTIA
Wait a bit longer ideally. If not, a 2-3 hr decant.

Reviving this old thread : I’ve seen BAMA main French distributor selling new vintages from 2013 to 2018 (no 2017 it seems).
So I was wondering if something had changed with the sale you are mentioning or if it was maybe not for 100% of the vines ?
Is 2018 the last vintage or did JP Boyer continue to produce wine ?
