Considering a Thanksgiving weekend visit but would like to avoid huge organized events. Hoping I can schedule a few nice visits for Friday and Saturday. I know the holiday weekend is likely to be busy, but I don’t want to deal with busloads of partiers.
The only listed event that I know of in the region that weekend takes place at Cayuga Lake. Still, that does not mean you may not run into busloads on their own tours.
October and early November are the busiest tourist months in this region.
Stay with the smallest wineries and you might have to share space at the bar, but probably not with a bus tour group.
