Anyone tasted 08 Raveneau 1ers latlely?

curious as to how they are progressing. Any open for business?

Opened the '08 MdT in November. Fantastic wine. Very pure, delicate, stony. Loved it.

Had an '08 Butteaux a few weeks ago, was nice drinking (looked better than an 09 next to it).

Raveneaus 1’ers usually drink well from early, and '08 seems a vintage in which you could easily enjoy them as such, but you just know they will be better in 5+ years…

My experience in Dec. 2013 posted on a Fevre thread.

Had a 2008 Raveneau Montee de Tonnerre last week that was tight, tight tight. Almost nothing on the nose and palate on opening. Did start to blossom after an hour or two of air, but I wouldn’t open another for a few years.

I had a 2008 Vaillons recently that was showing very well while still youthful.

Scott,

I have had the Chapelot, Montmains and Butteaux recently. All are sharp and zippy but have real flesh and texture. Certainly worth busting if you have a few.

Best Regards
Jeremy

Thanks all–I think I have Vaillons, MdT and Butteaux
