Hey guys,
things have moving very quickly with the project in Burgundy. As I posted in the other thread: a day job in Burgundy (with updates) - WINE TALK - WineBerserkers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, we just confirmed on the facility in Beaune. As many of you know, I am in no way a wealthy guy. I don’t have large amounts of money stockpiled away somewhere. What I do have is a sound business plan, a great opportunity to do something unique and the commitment to see it through.
As a negociant, the overhead and operations costs are fairly inexpensive. As I mentioned in the other thread, I have been hesitant in posting something like this previously. However, I do realize that many on this board might be interested in something like this. This will not be posted on any other site. If you are interested, feel free to drop me a line to get some of the particulars.
Potential investment queries will be handled with discretion.
Just fyi, Ray did ask for permission prior to posting this, and I gave him the go-ahead.
Another fyi - for every share in his Burgundy project you buy as a result of this solicitation, I get two. Just making sure I put it all out there in the spirit of full disclosure…
Got a call from a contact in Burgundy today. I got offered grapes from
Morey St Denis 1er Cru…I can’t reveal the vineyard
Charmes Chambertin GC
Today has been an excellent day for the project. For those interested in being a part of a Burgundian negociant winery with a low investment, let me know.
Thanks Josh. Things just continue to flesh out. I went and looked through a bunch of emails saying that I wouldn’t be offered any fruit. A few ended with ‘good luck’.
Update:
I would like to give a big thank you to all of the investors from this board. An overwhelming majority of the investors are from Wine Berzerkers. I have left the door open on investing. If you are interested in finding out more, just drop me a line. Also, check out the blog at blog.maison-ilan.com to see the play by play.
Hey guys,
all of the 09s are in barrel, but I am keeping this open as the response has been very good. Again, great thanks to everyone for all of the support!
