Anyone had the 96 LdH Tondonia Reserva blanco yet?

Local wine shop is pulling a minor bait and switch on me, subbing in 96 for 91. I’ve had the 91 and love it, wondering if the 96 is just as good. The point is probably moot since I’ll take the 96 anyway, just curious how upset or happy I should be about the switcheroo!

Do you actually have the '96 in-hand? The '93s are just hitting the shelves around here.

Btw, I also love the '91, wasn’t as crazy about the '92.

They have it at the store, just arrived, so it may just be hitting shelves elsewhere (I noticed many shops in NY have had it online for a little while).

I think the '91 is the Grand Reserva whereas the '92 and '96 are both Reservas. Huge difference.

John, while there is a 91 Grand Reserva, there’s also a 91 Reserva that Tower has had for the past year or so for around $36 (that I’ve had on a few occasions). They finally ran out of stock on that and apparently are moving on straight to 96. Maria LdH did say that the 96 rivals 91 as an excellent vintage for Tondonia.

Spectacularly good, too, is the 91 Reserva…
