Have to be in Tampa in a couple weeks, thought I might wander down and have a meal and a glass at the bar. Anyone know if it’s easy to get a seat, or pretty busy?

I’ve had no problem getting seated in the bar area when arriving early (before 6:00) over the past year or so but I’ve only been there perhaps 10 times or so during this time and only during the week. There is a table area behind the bar with about 8 tables. The bar should be no problem if that is where you prefer to sit.

Should be pretty easy if you are on the earlier side as Ed pointed out or even on the later side. No doubt there always seems to be room at the tables in the back end of the room, but alone, a spot directly at the Bar might be best. I was there last Saturday night and no doubt the economy seems to be keeping the crowds down…or maybe its just summer.
I’ve not been in months and months but I always recall the bar being PACKED. Granted it is 7:30P or 8PM when I show up. Doesn’t matter if it is a Tuesday or Friday. And even finding a seat while they clear the table (I try to show up 20-30 minutes early so I can get a “Starter glass”) so I can get a glass can be a challenge. I’d actually call and try to reserve a table, whether they do that at the bar or just in the main restaurant I don’t quite know but better to find out than to show up and find it 6 deep at the bar and all the restaurant tables full.
