I did a search and a few people picked up some of this so any TN’s? Vins Rare has them for $59.99 and free shipping if you get 6. I like Vilmart, just hate parting with the $$$.

“utter crap, this wine is absolutely horrid… on the bright side, I guess it takes real skill to screw up such great raw materials.” (notes on my own attempt to blend a tete de cuvee while tasting 2008 vins clairs)

Unfortunately, this bad review is not for the 02 Vilmart or any Vilmart. The 02 Vilmart is really good and this is a very good deal. Sorry for the bad news… this is a good wine. [winner.gif]

Great wine, had it a couple weeks ago - came off younger (and less open) than the 02 Dhondt, if you buy em Id stash the majority away.

I agree with Peter that this is a wine that will only get better with time. Completely different from the Dhondt with more body and spice.

This is really a great bottle of Champagne…I’ve opened two bottles in the last few months and like the wine more and more each time…

Not to worry, they were completely out. I’ll have to ask my local retailer if they can source it for around this price.

It popped up locally for the same price within the last week or two so it’s around the Southland. Nice wine but tight as nails right now to me. Like Peter says, they need to sleep.

I would definitely decant it if you’re planning on drinking it now.

Well, maybe someone had a change of mind so this morning I found and took 4 bottles, asked for 6 but only 4 left.

Anyone picked up some of that 06 Mon Aieul for $55? Nice price!

I bought more at $54.99 originally paid $81.00 on sale at Zachy’s
I opened one of the Mon Aieul 06’s and after 4 hours in the decanter was singing.

Cracked one tonight. Huge upside, but really drinking well right now, even though we just popped & poured.
