Looks as though they have interesting bottles, but know nothing about them.
Hi Mark.
I also look at their wines at the auctions. Sometimes when researching some rare bottles, they show up in My Google search, and also from links in Wine-Searcher.
Never dealt with them though.
They often have nice looking bottles, I agree.
I like to criticize suspect bottles, when the errors show clearly on photos. Happens every day on eBay, Catawiki, and many smaller online auctions. I get angry when I see this going on.
I haven’t seen a real suspect bottle from them, when looking closer (photo close ups) at some of their old DRC, Mouton, Petrus… -Yet!
Not a recommendation from Me, but not a warning either…
NB. It seems They have a policy of photo-removing the ser. numbers from all DRCs(I hope!), but not from Moutons or other numbered labels.
Regards, Søren.
I’ve used them quite a bit. Bear in mind they are an online auction house, so do make sure you understand the premium as well as the VAT thereon. They do get interesting bottles but prices always end up very full once all fees are included. Otherwise good on delivery, etc… It’s a real institution in France: they must be the largest wine auction house there by a long way.
Also never had big problems with fakes, etc…
Just to be clear you are Not talking about the importer based in Massachusetts (Ideal Wines).
