Any Retailer in the Seattle area

Is there anybody on this board who is a retailer in the Seattle Area???

If so, I may have a customer for some Champagne in your area.

Need answer ASAP

I no longer work for them, but give Jay Schiering at McCarthy & Schiering a call at 206-524-9500. Now closed, open at 10 AM Wednesday.

Thanks Chuck, I’ll give him a call in the morning. Their website doesn’t show much as far as what they have in stock, but a quick call should take care of it.

Here’s the details: Warren Moon wants some decent champagne for a party Friday and has had a hard time finding what he wants in the Seattle area. There has to be somebody up there with the right stuff so we don’t have to ship it overnight and make the cost ridiculous. The right retailer, who will have what he needs or direct him to something that suits his palate and is willing to order some of the harder to get stuff for him might benefit in the long run. The best part is that he orders by the case, so it can be an in-and-out transaction.

Caveat: We have not done business with Mr. Moon previously. He sent an associate, (also a friend of ours) in to try to get a case of Domaine Chandon 2001 Etoile Rose and a case of mid range half bottles (24 per case) of champagne to hand out at the party. If it wasn’t the Christmas rush, we’d try to take it on, but here it is, 9:40 PM and Carrie & I are still at the shop wrapping and packing orders.

Yeah Jay and Dan both have good selections of Champagne usually (there are 2 M&S stores, Jay running one).

Esquin has a pretty big selection of Champagne and they had their annual Champagne Extravaganza tasting event last night, so they should be stocked up on lots of stuff right now.

Esquin is a great store.

Yes it is…I was quite impressed with their selection, and the pricing is not too bad. They get some great Champagnes there.

Esquin has a great selection…however…their store is quite warm and dangerously so in the warmer months. I’m just saying. I do still buy wine there on occasion.

M&S is tops in my book.

Mr. Moon was referred to M&S, but the associate also told him to look for Bev Mo, Sams Club, etc.

There’s no Bev Mo in seattle, just FYI. Sam’s and, of course, Costco. Esquin too. Frankly it depends what he wants… and how much.

Update for those who offered information.

I called Moon’s associate to give him the info, and he said he would call me back to get the info as soon as he got to his office. He never called. We have always helped this guy and I know he calls us mostly when it is self serving. So now I used all of you as a resource to help him out and he doesn’t have the courtesy to call. I’m not really upset with him for the way he is, but I am peeved that I asked and you guys responded and he didn’t think it was important enough.

So, I’ll probably not jump through hoops to help him next time. No big deal.

As for Carrie, she was sharpening the tip of her broom and collecting toads from the flower bed in front of the store. [stirthepothal.gif] I may not see this guy again.

Thanks for the great info though.

Are you sure this wasn’t Keith Moon you were seeing?

What has Carrie been putting in your mac ‘n’ cheese? [stirthepothal.gif] [This smilie is meant literally, not figuratively this time. [wink.gif] ]
