Anniversary or birth year wines - 08, 11, and 13?

I’ve been consistently pleased with the Lopez de Heredia wines from 2011. The red tondonia reserva should still be easy to find and will be cruising along 10-15 years from now. I could be wrong but I believe there is also going to be a gran reserva 2011, though that’s at least 7 years away from release now.

I went very deep on Ridge MB 2013 including some 3L’s that I hope to drink at our 50 anniversary.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations!

@Marcu_Stanley @Otto_Forsberg @Eric_Ifune thanks for reminding me about Port - I actually have 3 bottles of Dow’s 2011, and wasn’t even thinking about them in terms of the birth years.

@Paul_Bruck @Marcu_Stanley regarding Rhone, I have both the 2011 and 2013 Chapoutier De L’oree, I believe both were RP 100s so I got them on somewhat of a whim years ago. I think they were the cheapest RP 100s I found at the time

Will definitely look into some of these suggestions… Including what someone would want to have at 21 vs me as an old wine geek :joy:

I would recommend to take a look at Brunello 2013 also (like Chianti) and do not forget that 2008 for Barolo is a very good vintage
