Interesting read in Decanter about how Jefford has lost interest in pursuing the “best wines,” in part due to financial considerations. I occasionally joke that it is more of a challenge now for me to afford a First Growth Bordeaux or a Grand Cru Burgundy than it was when I began pursuing wine about 20 years ago both because of spiraling prices, and also because of diversified interests.

Brilliant, but then Mr. Jefford has long enlightened me to his personal best , and he has opened a whole new world of wines to me.
