I just got notification of my wish list being granted. Although I requested another 3-pack and a mag I was granted two 3-packs. Not complaining, I just hope I look back at this one day and smile. I am curious about how others did with their wish list requests…
Hey all, long time lurker…yea I got the 2nd email telling me I had another 3-pack as well.
It’s interesting that they came out with only 1 3-pack to most people but have opened it up to a bunch, a friend also got the email as well. Wondering if they were just being conservative or if the pull-through form the email list wasn’t as good as expected…
Debating about moving forward with the 2nd as I’ve been on a bit of a tear recently with new acquisitions…anyone want my 2nd 3-pack?
I think I would’ve wished the second, but wasn’t clear if I was to include that on the original check. This late in the year, probably best I went with the one 3 pack so I can taste before going deep.
I am kind of shocked that they didn’t sellout 200 cases quicker than a Taylor Swift concert. Oh well - I continue to not get it. I would have thought the Manfred connection would have been enough. Is it that it is just not that well advertised? Not that I have discussed with many but I figured there would be plenty of the dreaded “annual SQN postcard” club (like me) that would have jumped on this.
Anyway - like you guys - got the amended notice for the one extra 3-pack and sent my check this morning.
I understand that they “allocated out”, or had 800 (or so) people indicate interest to buy that they offered an allocation to.
I was order #24 (I sent my check in right away and live in SoCal, so it got there quickly), and am not surprised to be offered another 3-pack. Assuming 800 3-bottle allocations, less than 3% would have had to pass on their allocation in order for me to not get more.
They didn’t pull a Marcassin and send an offer out to 1500 with only the first responses getting checks cashed. Had they done that and not limited allocations (which also leaves them with a more diversified customer base), I am sure they would have had a number of 6-12 bottle orders that would have sold them out quickly, leaving the rest of us to get (you guessed it) that dreaded postcard/email. I would be absolutely surprised if they didn’t sell out given the SQN affiliation and referral from Manfred.
