Hi Niv, according to that chart I believe most value/qpr is found in the 91-93 point/$75$ range, no? I could agree with that.
I think the value is in finding bottles that are below the Quality Price trend line - I will look through my notes and post some of the bottles that were below the trend line.
This was a sample so I didn’t survey all the bottles…
Here we go - good value in Napa by the points/price. 94-96 Parker points the avg. prices (based on low Wine searcher pro) is about $130 per bottle. So everything under $130-150 is a “good deal”: (prices may be outdated)
2012 Turnbull Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 96 points $38
2012 Venge Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Silencieux 95 points $44
2012 Anderson’s Conn Valley Right Bank Proprietary Red 94 points $47
2012 St Supery Vineyards Proprietary Red Elu 94 points $48
2012 Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon Mise en Place 95 points $55
2012 Switchback Ridge Petite Sirah Peterson Family Vineyard Napa Valley 94 points $56
2012 Switchback Ridge Merlot Peterson Family Vineyard 95 points $58
2012 Del Dotto Cabernet Sauvignon 94 points $59
2012 McGah Family Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Scarlett Estate 95 points $60
2012 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary 96 points $60
Lol, I wish. Spent 45-60 minutes trying to do this laparoscopically but the liver was so huge and fat-laden I couldn’t retract the left lobe to get the necessary exposure. Once open the infundibulum and porta were probably a foot deep from the skin.
Just a bear but I got a great poloroid I’ll try to attach later![/quote]
Straight up PUNKED by Mongomery County! When municipalities are using Wine-Searcher to troll lovers of 2012 Caymus, you know it’s gotten out of control.
When I did my research I didn’t audit the retailers - but there are many “troll” retailers out there… I’ll check to see if there is a wholesale supply…
Could you possibly be any more self absorbed or self righteous? Why are you on a wine board. Even a $10 bottle of wine is $10 you should be giving to starving little kids.
