I’m not talking about the full on choucroute dish. What I’m referring to was basically cabbage, bacon, and maybe some seasoning, but I can’t remember the details. I ate a ton of it while visiting years ago and would love to make some at home. Is anyone familiar with what I’m talking about? I appreciate any help.
Have you ever heared from GOOGLE ?! ![]()
It´s quite easy to make. Cook some cubed onion in oil/butter until soft/translucent and add bacon cubes and optional apple cubes. Cook for 2-3-4min and then add 500g Sauerkraut. Cook for 2-3min and then add a glass of dry white wine and a bit water.
Finally add spices like caraway seeds, bay leaves, salt&pepper and optional juniper berries. Add a lid and cook for 20-30min. on low to medium heat.
Hey Martin, yes, I’ve heard of Google lol. I just wanted to ask the board members as there are a lot of well-traveled people here who also love to cook. Thanks for the recipe though, it sounds about right. Cheers!
