@Roy_Piper Thank you so much for taking the time to taste with Reid and for the great write up. I enjoyed the wine so much I really was doubting myself.

As I am sure you know reviews like yours, especially from a winemaker with your reputation, are so helpful to new brands and in many ways more important than professional critics.

The tidings bottling is lupina?

These certainly sound interesting and glad to see the pricing on the syrahs is within reason of what many charge down here. @Roy_Piper or @Robert_Dentice - any word if they will continue to get syrah from down here or it was a one time thing?

Cheers

anyone with experience, Is the cab an early drinker, or does it need to laydown for a decade plus?

If he’s sharing fruit with Ketan, unless it’s a new site to Ketan he hasn’t poured for us then my guess is Lupina since that’s new to Ketan for 19’…and on Moon Mountain.

Based on the bottle I had last night I would say either near term or long term. Reid recommended a 6 hour decant which I did not have time to do. I did notice considerable improvement over 2 hours. It paired beautifully with a I Sodi young roast chicken! Still thinking about it…

I emailed Reid and asked him about the moon mountain 2019 wine. He said it’s called Moonridge vineyard. The highest elevation vineyard in the moon mountain district.

Today is the day. It has been a long time since I signed up for a new California Cab mailing list! I did sign up for Phelan Farms but that is not Napa.

I do not generally put my name on mailing lists to buy wine completely blind. On the other hand, the last time Dentice recommended that I do so, I jumped at the chance and ended up on the original MacDonald list before they even chose what label they were going to use. I just signed up for this one and left a comment that so long as their half is good as McDonald, I’m in. Does anyone know anything about the wine?
