Acker BYOB dinner at Knife Pleat?

Anyone been to an Acker BYOB dinner, and if so, thoughts?

I am thinking about going to one at Knife Pleat in Costa Mesa.

“We invite you to an evening defined by generous bottles, shared tables, and the unmistakable energy of an Acker gathering.
Guests are invited to bring their best bottles to open and share throughout the evening . We will also be opening exceptional selections from our own cellar, with wines flowing freely alongside an indulgent multi course dinner at Michelin starred Knife Pleat.
Space is limited.
$295 Per Seat, Plus Tax”

Wondering about the types of bottles Acker brings and any details about these events.

they bring good wines to every event

I’ve been to a few of their events and they usually bring excellent wines.

Michael, from your events, any general sense of the bottles the attendees bring (e.g., market value, age, region)?
I’m likely going, so if any Berserkers are also going, let me know.
BTW: A person at Acker says the bottles they bring are in the $1K range of current market.

It just depends; I’ve only been to the auctions and paulee gala and the bottles can range from 200 to 50000.

Apparently, this is invite only, but Acker says I can invite a friend if I want. Anyone interested?

I am now going, as I love Marche, it’s close to me, and the Acker wines sound like they should be fantastic, not to mention what attendees bring.

The additional details I received are that it’s friendly and fun and not as rigid as some other wine dinners.

i’m going to the LA one on the 24th

John was pouring some '99 Tâche and others at the Paulée auction. But that may have been in celebration of the world record '45 RC that had been sold earlier…

Excited to see what Acker and attendees bring. Will report back.
