Interesting comment. I said the same thing to my wife when we tried the 03 Mouton recently. Again, the firsts are out of reach for me, so my experience is very limited, but I tasted that and I just thought, meh, this could be from anywhere, for about $35…

In disguise, the Pavie and PC could pass for a current release Napa Cab any day of the week.

I don’t remember which out of all of the Bordeaux’s I had but one of them was really big roasted espresso nose. Bob Summers might be able to remind me since the two of us were commiserating about it and how much it seemed like a CA Cab.

The Alban was probably one of Randy’s favorite wines, imagine that ! I didn’t get around to trying it.

Toward the end of the night we cracked a Neiman Cellars '05 Red that is from Caldwell & Abreu Thorevilos Vineyards. It should have been opened much sooner but it was an after thought , really enjoyable.
