a white and red Brug

2002 Pernot Puligny villages = with some 1er cru mixed in, this wine sings. Young vibrant color and plenty of spice and perfume. Drinking well above its classification.

2005 Tollot Beaut Santenay les Gravieres - my first of the 6 pack; dark color, with some oak showing but in good balance with the clean fruit. Som spice on the nose; good length and finish. A top notch Santenay.

Jerry, are these still not a bit young for you??

Jerry - Something does not compute. Tollot has no vines in Santenay. Was it possibly Savigny-Lavières instead of Santenay-Gravières that you drank?

Todd

Yes they are both a bit young, but with the white premox situation I’m trying those much younger than I would like to.

Claude

Of course you are right - it was the Lavieres. I guess I had one glass too many to write a review from memory. This wine showed very well and I have high hopes for the GC’s from Tollot Beaut in 2005.

It would appear from many posts on this forum that you are not alone with that reasoning
