A truly great Burgundy- I think I know what it was

no wonder it’s so good.

I can totally relate. So many times I’ve popped a random unidentified bottle that’s been really good and it’s taken me a while to work through until I’m like “yup. That was probably the ‘37 lambrays I forgot about.”

It happens. My story is a pale version of the forgotten bottle.

A friend of mine had his house on the market, and at an Open House, he was worried that somebody would steal the only really precious bottle a 1966 Romanee Conti. He hid it in the washing machine in a laundry room that was no longer being used.

When he got home after the Open House, he completely forgot he had put it there and thought it had been stolen. It wasn’t until the house had been sold and the new owners found the bottle and returned it to him that he remembered putting it in the machine.

This quote is your mistake, not mine. You need to make it right because you made me take an extra 30 seconds, after laughing, to post this reply. I’m now inconvenienced!

A thirty second laugh is a blessing not an inconvenience. You owe Luca $30, a dollar per second.
