Thank you both. This is great. Yes, I know we are swimming upstream trying to taste red in Santorini. We will also give the whites a try.

The Mandilarias sounds interesting. We will definitely look for it.
I will update this thread if we end up visiting any vineyards.

As usual, I agree with everything Otto says. Have been to Athens and Santorini each a couple of times and have had the chance to drink pretty widely (including at some great wine bars in Athens- that focused just on Greek wines). I’d definitely take a look at any mainland Xinomavro you find while island hopping. Agiorgitiko is another mainland red grape that can be of interest, even if its potential doesn’t quite reach that of Xinomavro.
