After putting in my order it occurs to me that unlike with a sous vide supreme there might be issues with evaporation since the water bath won’t be sealed away in the pot. I’m guessing an aluminum foil cover might be the best way to go?
you can do a lot of ways, foil is fine. There is a polyscience pot with a lid, but i don’t know if it fits this particular model as it looks a bit wide. I used plastic wrap before and it was fine as well. Foil is the best tho.
I’ve been lazy on my Polyscience setup and haven’t wrapped the tub before and while it may have taken a little longer to get up to temperature, it held the temp just fine and I didn’t lose any water… I don’t think it gets hot enough to evaporate off too much water.
What I was thinking, is why not put one of these in a cooler? Not sure how you’d keep it standing but that temperature should keep really well right?

gave a refund! woot. I highly recommend the product. I think the mere fact it has a timer already makes it a better buy than the Sansaire. The touchscreen is pretty cool too
