Actually
Gevrey-Chambertin (Village)
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut St-Jacques
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers
Charmes-Chambertin (GC)
Mazy-Chambertin (GC)
Clos de la Roche (GC)
share the same label-design, despite the different wording.
Chambertin
Chambertin Clos de Beze
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St.Jacques
Ruchottes-Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes (GC)
are all different, the latter two showing the vineyard (gate).
Why? No idea, but I suppose that the Domaine wanted to distiguish the 4 vineyards they estimated highest …
also it´s traditionally so for decades.
I also never understood why the Clos de Beze has such a simple uninteresting design !? (compared with the Chambertin …)
There are other examples, Guigal has already been mentioned above,
Coche-Dury has also different labels for the Meursaults and the Corton-Charlemagne,
Clos du Caillou for the CdP, Quartz and Reserve,
Doinique Laurent has black and bright ones (no idea why!),
Rene Rostaing for the classic Cote-Rotie and the single vineyards …
Different labels have their advantages - e.g. I once mistook a Clos-St-Denis instead of a Morey-St-Denis because the labels looked almost idential … well or
- depending on the view …
