A potential new rating system

I, by accident, came up with a new rating system. I’m going to try it for a while, as it makes more sense for the way I enjoy wines.

I’m going to try a 4-tier system for a while:

nose - forepalate - midpalate - finish

I just had a Beaujolais that I described as (on a scale of 10) 7 - 6 - 1 - 3

The midpalate all but fell away, but the finish was actually a nice recovery.

Anybody else have their own rating system?

5 being average?

Cool! Which Beaujolais?

Sounds good! Looking for a Beaujolais i’ll want to buy many of.

I like Ray Tuppatsch’s system: Killer, Staggering, Excellent, Very Good, etc. However, your system seems thoughtfully compartmentalized. [welldone.gif]

the Zanotti binary system:
0 equals not worth drinking
1 equals worth drinking

how many m on the end of the word yummmm…

That’s similar to my system:

1 equals pour in mouth
0 equals pour in sink
