First of all you want the top bar to look full screen width without adjusting width for the entire site.

Next up: playing with full colour framing and spacing around avatars and names and aligning them can aesthetically really become pleasing. Cramped content becomes unpleasant for people, dont be afraid of empty space. Very simple example where i am hacking the stylesheet in Chrome:
Slightly coloring headlines, names and everything thats not normal text can really bring life to something that quickly just becomes white/grey/black boxes. Very rough example with me typing in random colors here. But with a proper color scheme it could work wonders:
Sorry if this is in a faq somewhere but, at the moment, the amount of tweaking and suggestions/solutions being posted makes it hard to find specific items. How do I change the font color to replicate what Lasse has done? The grey shades are difficult to distinguish so this would be a major improvement for me.
Thanks to Todd, Charlie, and the team for all the hard work to make this better!
We didn’t end up putting these colors in one of the theme options, but perhaps there’s a way to do so, add another - it’s just tricky to keep adding more when the test site was up for this very reason, and we might end up with quite a few based on everyone’s personal preferences. Funny the old site had one option, that’s it, and we have so many combinations now but people want more!
We still need to do some tweaking. There is certainly still a few things that could be improved, but it takes time to get right and time is not what i have most of sadly hehe.
Thanks, Todd. I know it is a thankless task to try to accommodate everyone’s suggestions. I was asking because it seemed like Lasse’s suggested fix was an easy one (not knowing any better). It was never an issue on the old site because the contrast was easy to see with the one option. The current shades of gray is much harder. I’m not a fan of dark mode.
