A Duke tee shirt? Really? Did he have to wear a Duke tee shirt?

Well, that knocks Dublere off the list. Easy peasy.

Nah. He didn’t actually go to dook, he is a very nice guy and he makes excellent wines that are very good values. Plus, he called one of his tractors a double-wide - who can not like that.

Wearing a Dook shirt when you didn’t go to Duke is even worse.

Didn’t you go to dook for some graduate degree or something, Nathan?

gee, I graduated Duke and don’t own any memorabilia except the diploma.

Nope, I just collect a pay check. I do it just to eat into K’s pay packet…

So you work at dook and root for UNC? Wow!!!

And you admit that in public? [snort.gif]

I assume this some sort of sports rivalry thing?

I had a bottle of 2006 Domaine Dublere Volney 1er Cru Pitures last night. A very pretty, feminine pinot that went down quite easily.

I’ve now had a half dozen or so different village and 1er Cru reds from Dublere, and they’ve all been nice, good value, and seem to have a house style of lighter, red-fruited, pretty wines. They won’t win you the blind tasting challenge, but they’re lovely wines.

Not so good that I’d drink them if the vigneron wears an Oklahoma or Texas A&M shirt, thought.

I have to agree with you here Chris.

A Burgundy vigneron wearing an A&M cap and a OU shirt … that’s ONE, TWO, THREE STRIKES YOU’RE OUT!!!

What is with your pathological need to take every single opportunity to say something negative about france/burgundy? Did a Frenchman steal your woman or something?

You’re so right Berry. Burgundy is too profound to poke fun at! [wink.gif]

I’m sure he means the Duque de Bourgogne.

Not at all. But you aren’t really “poking fun”. Rather you seem quite obsessed. No big deal, if you enjoy it, keep at it. Im just curious what motivates your obsession.

Well done

Hard to say Berry. Sorry if it offends!

Think of the positive side. Maybe my nits will turn price perception in Burgundy and I’ll save you a few pennies! champagne.gif

Doesn’t offend me. I only get butthurt on the Internet when people bad mouth JRR Tolkien or his works. Childish, I know.

But I am genuinely curious. Is a politically conservative anti-French thing?

(Ironically, Tolkien was not a big fan of the French and especially not their food)

Unfortunately one curmudgeon can’t offset all the label chasers [wink.gif]

Shoot. Dook? I thought it was “Dewk”. I thought we had a pronunciation guide around here or something.
