Clos Roche Blanche — Closerie 1999
Quite dark ruby color with very slight bricking around the edges. Stewed blackberries and dark chocolate smell. Quite tannic still but the acidity is very light in comparison. A good array of berries showing the mix of grapes quite nice. Strawberries from the Gamay, black berries and currant from the Côt and Cab Franc. It’s on the slope downhill but I’ll just say that for an average run of the mill mix they decided to do, this is an astonishing longevity for such a bottle. CRB❤️
