An 86 Red Rock Terrace. My first Diamond Creek, so I’m just hoping the wine is still alive. Anyone with experience on what to expect, decant time, etc. is appreciated. I don’t typically open wines in this age bracket.
I’ve had a few 88’s recently. They’ve been drinking quite well. I’d think just 30-45 minutes will be enough for this to open up nicely.

It could have considerable sediment, so make sure to stand it up for a minimum of 24 hours, more if possible. I’d just decant it off sediment a little before serving and let it open in the glasses.

No, it’s highly dependent on the variety and wine, for me. Except the standing up part, that’s pretty much universal.
