6 champagnes incl. 2006 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne

Oh yeah? Tell me more…

Feel free to drift anytime on my threads Warren. Do I need to PM you re trades/ purchases?

If only we could decide on a when/where!

I have an idea…

PM anytime, although our palates seem so aligned, I doubt I own anything you don’t already have.

Warren, I think some of the '08’s have gotten ahead of themselves in terms of current market value so say selling some (not all) '08 Cristal and buying '12 or '09 seems like a good option to get more drinking bang for your buck. Who is to say '12 may not end up better than '08? Same goes for DP although the delta is less there.

Thanks Jon. I’ll look at Wine-Searcher and see what the market says about my older vintages. One advantage of trades is a quick, clean transaction when compared to auctions, but if the prices don’t line up, selling makes more sense.
My biggest “problem” is that the wines I love the most are the ones getting stupid prices, e.g. Egly-Ouriet Millésimé, P. Peters Chetillons, and others. The ‘08 pricing is almost outrageous enough to detract from the joy of drinking them!

Cheers,
Warren
