4 owner for 1 bottle

Never see that .Does this happen often? (is that a kind of blind date ,with wine and people?)

newhere

A great idea among friends. Strangers…not so much.

We did this for a bottle of Q. do Noval Nacional, but we all knew each other. You wouldn’t want to drink an entire bottle of Port by yourself.

Interesting that the bottle will be acquired once subscribed.

drink many bottle of port alone.but during 2-3 days.(no nacional) [cheers.gif]

+1
but maybe funny
-------------------or a catastrophe.

We have a group of 8 good friends that do this every year in order to taste the full line up of DRC (sans RC) at 10/11 years of age (arbitrary, no real reason for the age). It is a good way for us as a group to taste what would be really difficult to do as individuals.

that sounds good/great.So i can understand that.
Next is 2003 or 2004? 10/11 is a good age? Not to early?.

This year we’ll do 2003. We try to source all of the wines from the same source and that is harder to do with older vintages. IMHO 10 years gives a glimpse as to future potential while still making backfilling a possibility.

This is a good way to go with bottles one wouldn’t normally buy because of the cost.

If you and two friends have never had Cheval Blanc, and you wouldn’t spend $400 for a bottle, but the three of you could buy a bottle for $133 each and drink it together, that’s a great plan.

The marginal enjoyment of a full bottle isn’t anywhere near 3 times the enjoyment of a third of it, you get to drink it together, and you probably get a better experience than you could from a $133 bottle.

I’ve never thought of doing that with strangers, though.

I wonder how many state laws this violates? (Maybe not in California.)

thanks,
this make really sense.Best from mixed owc buyer. [cheers.gif]

every time i read something like that,i think “wow” all this … laws.
