There is an invite tier called Tres Magni for 3 packs of each. I received the invite, but am actually dropping KE completely this year to explore new territories and support some upcoming producers (Aerika etc)
I did the horizontal of all 22’s a cpl weeks ago to check in. The kaannos was the group favorite along with aphex and kodo. Rhad has, for whatever reason, never been the favorite when opening the horizontals. Maybe it needs more time. La Vol was my favorite previously and still have a few 18’s and 19’s.
The ecotone cab franc bottling sounds interesting, but I am going to move on to other producers for a while, as KE was taking a fair chunk of my napa budget. Hoping this fixes their shipping costs issues, as the ~1000 in shipping per year was not ideal.

I’m mostly just curious about the communication strategy… It looks like my deadline to decide on the allocation is earlier than Rich’s (Feb 22, vs Feb 27), so it seems a little odd that I haven’t heard anything from them. I would have no idea what’s going on, if not for this thread. So, I guess I owe you all a big thanks!
I received an almost identical email yesterday. The only difference from what Rich posted was mine did not include the paragraph about the Cab Franc. It was listed in the first bullet point in the “recap” paragraph, however. Also, mine was from Shae rather than Carrie.
I’ve always felt these emails were form letters or templates but that may not be the case here. It may be these are being typed (or copied, pasted and modified) individually and then sent to each member.
I still haven’t figured out how I’d like to handle my future orders. My email tells me I have until Feb 27 to decide.
That is a great point. I’m in the same boat with the February 22 deadline. I’m glad I saw the posts in this thread, since I would’ve otherwise missed the window to customize the standing order.
My general reaction to KE’s expansion is that it hasn’t seemed as smooth or given the impression of being as well thought out as Realm’s, which is the label I think of as maintaining a high price point and brand status across a high number of skus.
Good wine and good people make it easy for me to support where I can. I think they have been fair and it’s nice to not have to “log in and click in seconds” to get what you want.
I do wish all the different orders through the year could be combined to save on shipping, but for the most part the offers and tracking have been easy enough.
I’m hoping this will facilitate that change. I went to uno - just don’t consume enough to do more than that and I enjoy the variety of various bottlings. Can’t imagine that all the singles will ship individually - at least I sure hope not.
