I’m going to drop a bottle of Aphex this release unless someone wants it at cost. I’m in Chicago.
Has anybody tasted Aphex? I tasted Kaannos and Kodo with Nigel a while back and have seen lots of other notes on those two as well. However, feedback on Aphex is much more scarce. Is it that Thorevilos is such an intense site that it isn’t in a place to show well young?

The kodo was more open off the bat and was the crowd favorite. The aphex slowly came around and was also very good by the end. Both big wines.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but based in the Bay Area.
Just got a confirmation for 1 Aphex & 1 Kodo. I tried to increase my standing order but it was not honored but I will check back in with them this week.
Same. I was given the option to get an additional Magnum, but passed. If offered again, I may get them for 2023.

I have yet to try either wine so wanted to get extra bottles to pop one open sooner than later and hold the others for long term storage.
Wish you would have reached out upthread. I would have given you one of my Aphex that I ended up passing on.
I saw your post but was waiting to hear back from them. Either way we should get a group of us to sip wine at some point here in Chicago.

Chicago here as well - I was able to get my Kodo increased from 1x to 2x so small victories.
Also was able to go from 1x to 2x. Not Chicago but close enough to come up and taste ha!

My first time “in the club.” I was allocated a 3-pk of Aphex. And wish options for mags of Apex and Not a mag guy so I asked if I could wish for a 3-pk of Kodo and never heard back. Did a get a 3 of Hiero, which was not allocated. My oldest bottles of KE are the 2019s, so I have yet to taste their wines.
I also flinched at the cost of shipping a 3-pack to Ohio ($66). I asked if there was a way to consolidate
shipments. They said they are not set up to consolidate shipments at this time. They do everything by releases. I would hope that someone who was lucky enough to get a 3-pk each of Apex and Kodo would have that come as a single shipment.

In Minnesota, wineries and retailers must charge tax if the amount that they send into the state exceeds a threshold.
There’s maybe a lot more to be said on that topic but I file that under “sssshhh”.
Today’s offering is open, able to buy individual bottles. Snagged 2 Aphex and 1 Kodo.
Allocated 1 Aphex and one Kodo, so that’s what I took
