Ah sorry, did not know you didn’t live in the US. Ridge does have an international sales team. May be worth a try to still contact Ridge and have someone on that team contact you?
Probably an even much higher percentage of Ridge Monte Bellow futures subscribers. This isn’t Daou Soul of a Lion or one of those $350 glossy Napa brands with the luxury tasting studio; I think you probably have a more serious overall group of customers than other California cabs in its price range.
Has anyone every quantified how much you save on buying Ridge MB on futures after overpaying for the other wines in the bundle?
Even assuming you actually want and would have bought those other bottles (which certainly isn’t true for all the buyers), how much does that overpaying eat into the savings you get buying MB at the below-market price?
I guess there is also some time value of money as well, paying the cost a couple years before the wine is released, which you would factor in if you were being thorough about the analysis.
The other thing is that the retail price of the MB will fluctuate some from year to year depending on scores.
In case helpful, they are now offering up to 6 bottles of the 2023 to members, at $292.50 with the member discount. I am picking up 4 because this is a birth year wine for my family, but would be nice to have been able to get this at the allocation price in 2024!
Salt on the wound.
this is… not a great price
I know! But my son’s birth year isn’t changing, and I’m not willing to leave up to chance whether I’ll get them from a retailer.
I count three retailers that have it cheaper now, including Benchmark.
All out of stock now I think. But appreciate the tips!
