2019 scarecrow release protocol

Love it. Can’t wait to come visit. Ha

Debating a 3 pack. Expensive kick off to the year so far.

Keep in mind you should be able to sell it down the road if need be, and make money .

Read a WS on a plane ride lately. Saw out of over 12,000 bottle of wine reviewed in 2021, the highest bottle cost average aside from Burgundy was Napa Valley Cabernet. Toe to toe the most expensive wines in the world according to that article. Cheers to Scarecrow. Having a line years long to be able to buy their allocation of $500 bottle wine is impressive. Closest I’d get to Scarecrow is drinking Mondavi Reserve Cabernet while watching the Wizard of Oz. strawman [tease.gif]

I’ve never flipped a bottle for a profit so this is foreign territory for me. It does make it slightly more attractive to know I could.

Hoping they still have some when March 3 gets here

In for 3 & wished for 3 ! [cheers.gif]

Have never had an issue, 2nd tier purchaser and have taken all three bottles for the last four vintages

Just got a letter in the mail that I will be allocated 3 bottles starting on 3/10, so anyone before that should be good to go

Got an offer from Vinfolio for $999/btl wow.

Wow… quite a mark up on that 100 point wine!

I assume it notes, “unless sold out”?

Can any east coast purchasers (I’m on Long Island) share the all-in cost of a 3 pack ? And share the shipping method you chose ? Thanks.

Has anyone successfully sold some of these for a profit (or break even) at a $500 purchase price? What is the best avenue to do that if you wanted to? I’ve never sold wine before, and would like to buy my three bottle allocation, but I’ve never tried Scarecrow before and a $1,650+ gamble is quite a big one.

As always, if anyone wants to pass on their allocation, happy to take it!

There is a long line of California retailers purchasing @ $700 a bottle. Now, that is what they are paying after you absorb taxes and shipping. So, let’s call it $100 and change in profit.

If you sit on them for a year, you can easily realize $900+

Thanks guys! Knowing that I can get rid of the other two if I’m not a fan was all the assurance I needed. Hopefully there is wine left when I get my allocation slot.

Not so quick . It’s a bit different to sell the 3 bottles in the OWC vs 2 individual bottles.

$100/$900 per bottle? Or for the 3 bottles in OWC? $2100-$1700 (approx the all-in price) is not $100.

Am I missing something?
Please clarify.
