2019 bordeaux

Received all my orders (mainly half bottles): Chevalier, Branaire, Gaffeliere, Cinet and Canon 2019. Does any of these drink well now or should I wait for another 10+ years?

Got notes that my Poyferre and Montrose 750ml arrived along with mags of Tour St Christophe, Branaire Ducru, Malartic Lagraviere, and Fleur Cardinale are in. Still waiting on mags of Dalem and Siran.

Crazy what these cost in June 2020 during peak Covid.

Zachys is starting to send out emails that 19s are in

I have only got e mails about magnums. No fifths.

All of my total wine bottles are in store. I need to go pick them up later this week. I had WDC postpone shipping until November due to heat in SoCal. Also bought myself more time to drink a hole in my collection to store them. :berserker:

Have already received or gotten in stock mails about fifths of Langoa Barton, Montrose, Croix Beaucaillou, Branaire Ducru, Pontet Canet, d’Issan, Beausejour Becot, Dame Montrose, and DDC.

Anyone received their '19 Lafleur futures yet? Got all the rest except 375s from the 1st growths…

I got everything from Bassins, almost all except for a L’Eglise Clinet from Total Wine. Still waiting on a bunch of wines from Wine Cellarage and Wally’s. Held off shipping WIne.com until a bit cooler (nice India Summer here in DC)

Speaking of Dalem, I was able to try a bottle last week while we were traveling. Liked it so much that I ordered a bunch more for $24.

I am waiting for all of mine from Wine Cellarage (NYC) and a few from Zachy’s… Soon, I should think.

All but 1 bottle received from TWC. MacArthurs has mine but it is too hot to ship, but no worries, not drinking it any time soon. Also have some with Millesema, not sure of the status there.

I like to think I made this happen:

Had a small glass of the '19 Lilian Ladouys the other night. Didn’t have time to really “sit down with it,” but initial impression is that this is an amazing deal for the $17 I paid last week at Costco. Will likely go back and buy a case, even though I should probably buy three. I’m struggling to think of a better red wine to have on hand now, and into the future, at less than $20.

Purchased some 2019 futures of Chateau Tour Saint Christophe. They arrived a couple months ago from K&L. Popped one the other night. Oak on oak on oak. The wine is so young that all the dark fruit that will assuredly shine in a while was asleep and tucked behind a wall of oak and young tannin. Really shows how much initial fruit shows in a young California wine vs. Bordeaux. Will have to wait a year or two to revisit and imagine the wine could age keeping the primary flavors intact for 15+ years before showing any signs of tertiary flavors. $28 a bottle on futures.

I bought a 6 pack of Tour St. Christophe because I’d read good things and thought it was a good value purchase. Then, I opened one of a pair of 2015s I already had early, and I definitely regret buying them. On the plus side, they will make decent gifts for friends who like more modern profile wines in the future.

Agree. Not a wine for me. Read the reviews which were all good and tried one, I forget the vintage, and found it over the top. Never again. Lilian Ladouys is another matter. Have enjoyed several vintages. Tried the 2019 yesterday, after reading this string. I like it, but think better things to come as it is young.
