2019 Accendo Release

He does work with Ecotone fruit (Merlot) at Impensata. They just had their inaugural release and it’s a Merlot blended with a small amount of CS, CF, PV, and Malbec.

Many people on here were less than enthused with the pricing ($975 for a 3 pack) which made it $325 per bottle and passed on it.

Judging from the Impensata thread, I bet they’re still struggling to sell the wine (looks like $975 for a 3 pack was just too much) even though only 81 cases were produced. Merlot as a grape isn’t quite as loved here in the states and $325 a bottle makes it one of the most expensive US Merlot’s on the market. There’s just so much great Pomerol available that I can understand why so many people passed on it.

Reverie Vineyard is where they source the fruit for the Kinsman Rhadamanthus, right?

If so, that’s a huge plus because I STILL think about the 2016 Rhad that I had a couple years ago- it was next level.

Correct and the Rhadamanthus has around 20% CF each year.

Yes … essentially would be more interested in an Abreu Thorevilos successor wine, which I believe has a heavy dollop of CF, but IIRC I’ve never heard of any Merlot in the blend. I also passed on the Impensata. I’ll have to risk not being early on a $400 Napa merlot … which I don’t think is a huge risk…

Welp … I did get allocated a 6L of Eisele (birth year for daughter), so that probably puts the issue to bed

Yeah and I’m not sure your wallet is alive after that offer [wow.gif].

‘21 Laurea and ‘22 SB out today (for me anyways but I’m newer to the list). Disappointed to see the minimum allotment is a 6 pack for both. Would have maybe gone for 3 of each but 6 is hard to commit too with everything else being released right now. Also $193 to ship a case to Chicago is more than double what I have seen from everyone else.

Hi Ryan - I just sent you an email so we can get this sorted.
