Anyone have any idea as to when the 2014 Marcassin Chardonnay & Pinot Noir are going to be releasing? I still have not seen an allocation come in the mail as of yet.

I’m not certain how Marcassin releases their Pinot Noir, but I’m going to speculate:
- the 2013 MPN was available to some retailers and restaurants before the mailing list received their offer. Somewhere around 6m to 1yr.
- The 2014 MPN has been available to some retailers and restaurants for about a year.
- THE 2016 MPN has recently been reviewed online and wine searcher has a few retailers that claim to have it or will be getting it soon.
Rumor is Marcassin releases when they choose, completely based on the vintage and when they feel it’s ready. This includes releasing vintages out of chronological sequence.
My first offering was 2013 last year from the winery. I took 6 bottles instead of a case to try to let others get a chance.
Marcassin has historically released wine to distributors significantly in advance of DTC. Nothing new here.
Anyone else try to get on their mailing list via the website? The Submit button doesn’t appear to work after inputting my information, so I’m struggling with how to even sign up for the waiting list. Just wondering if this is a “me problem” or not.

I emailed last month and received a response that there will be a release this year.
I emailed them a few weeks ago.
They said they have not released any wine since the 2013 vintage to the mailing list. But they have released a small amount of the 2014 to their wholesaler, and some has made it to the secondary market (I emailed them because I saw some at auction). They also hinted that we may be getting an offer soon. What does soon mean? We can only be optimistic.

If I was RICH I’d just send them a check with X amount and my request would be…
“Send me some wine when you feel like it” 
Wasn’t their style thought to be rather in excess.
Too big to age long term, too much alc, too much everything, yet within with their own structure.
Credit due id think at this point if you like the wines and hung on.
$150 doesn’t even sound crazy anymore for this type of cult and a 10 year old release!
(I’m still waiting for my request to add from 2005. Yes the people even know/knew to look for a mailer at my old address)
Went to grab a recent vintage est chard, by now it has to be 2021 or so I’m thinking…nope, 2013 still the new stuff…ha! '07 '08 '13 on deck
It truly boggles the mind that they have the wine from so long ago and haven’t released it.

Sometimes I find Marcassin chardonnay is too big for my taste buds, but usually it is right at my limit, and the structure is amazing. Towards that end, they age quite well for a chardonnay. I find them to be distinct. And as already stated, their release “schedule” boggles the mind.
I was at Boulevard in SF two months ago and they had the 2017 chard on their list.
