2012 Sonkin Cellars Persona, Santa Barbara County Syrah. The first time we tasted this wine, it had been open for a couple days and it was kick ass, so we bought it. Popped and poured a bottle tonight and while not quite the wine we previously tried, it was still kick ass, just tight. Blackberry, briar and hints of tar, it just gets better as it sits in the glass. Obviously it will cellar well or benefit from a good decant. I suggest you contact Loren before its gone.
