Brunson mentioned this in another thread. Here is the link to Bob Wood’s wine.

I left a “tasting note” and continued the string of 100 point scores.

They didn’t select “pending” when adding to cellartracker, I suspect. Common occurrence.

That tasting note was like a “best of Bob” compilation. I loved reading that and remembering the context of when he said some of those things.

So I have had a few people “report” that note, and one even got into a very heated argument with me when I explained it was homage and would NOT Be deleted. The person even threw a tantrum and posted a series of nasty comments on the note which I ended up deleting. It is ironic that I had to think about Bob to calm down and shed my grumpiness…

We should ALL Pobega one of these when they show up, and try to out-grumpy one another with our notes, see who can best channel Bob Wood

Eric: thanks for deleting any needlessly nasty posts! Some people just don’t have a sense of humor. Bob himself would have skewered them I’m sure.

Release party: yes. Date: still needs to be firmed up. Byron will be back in town imminently and we will discuss. I understand the need to plan these things in advance, given everybody’s hectic lives, and we’ll get to work on it. Stay tuned and I look forward to raising a glass with anybody who can make it.

    Don’t get me wrong, I think this is excellent wine. But it’s excellent for Russian River, and just as a reminder to self, the pinot from there is just not my thing. If you like Russian River and are looking for some restraint, look no further. So no, I do not have the palate of a yak. (87 pts.)

I received my bottles on Friday.

The magnum bottle is gorgeous! Really glad I ordered one.

Chapeau to Byron and the Seven of Hearts team, and Doug Ackerman as well.
