Does anyone know if SE is releasing another vintage of the super-limited sauv blanc? I just happened upon a TN in CT that someone posted in June; guessing a barrel sample?
looks like he tasted it at the Auction Napa Valley 2014. SE now keeps all the SB for themselves.
To drink? Or to give to friends?
Yes
Maybe they had trouble selling it at $250 a bottle. . . . at least I hope that’s what happened.

Wishful thinking. They could sell it for $650, and it would sell-out in a flash.

Bingo. Scarcity and perceived cache goes a long way in the high end Napa market.
Tejas, your avatar cracked me up as did this photo:

Screagle SB is the new hot thing on the secondary market. We are moving bottles at $$$$ with very little effort.

You back at Benchmark Mike?
I’ve been hearing about single bottles of the SB going for north of $4000
Yup - been back since January… Made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

WHY???
I guess I’m glad there are things I’m not interested in pulling people away from the things I am. If I’m going to drop something like that on a bottle, I want history and significance as well as cache and rarity. You know, like a DRC Montrachet or something, for crying out loud.
I will say props to Screagle for marketing this thing brilliantly.
