2011 Jean-Marie Fourrier Clos Vougeot Vieilles Vignes

  • 2011 Jean-Marie Fourrier Clos Vougeot Vieilles Vignes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (6/21/2013) Pure and exciting nose of blackcherries, strawberries and chocolate-drenched plums. The palate was lush and round showing amazing density, balance and definition. With amazingly refined elegance on the very long lingering finish. Incredible showing of this CV so pure with such a signature style, in a word, delicious! (93-94 pts.)

The best cdv I tasted at the 11 EP tastings, by some distance.

Wow - Did you also taste the 2011 JM Fourrier Echezeaux? Just curious about your findings!

anyone see these in the states ? What is the relation to Domaine Fourrier ?

Jean-Marie Fourrier has in 2011 introduced a micro-negoce range of three new wines. They have to be from old vines, from winemakers not growers, preferably organically grown, biodynamic in the case of the Clos Vougeot.
