Thanks again to everyone for their notes and information. It was super helpful for me to get a good showing out of my botte. I enjoyed a bottle last night at dinner. Here is my note:
Based on others notes I double decanted this for 2 hours from 2:00 - 4:00 and returned it to the bottle to drink with dinner at 7:00. The aroma is a mix of floral elements, freshly picked berries, and mulling spices. The palate shows the warmth of the vintage with cherry compote and ripe berry notes. Medium acidity and fine tannin provide nice overall balance. The wine didn’t evolve much over an hour in the glass. This bottle is at a youthful peak that will hold for ten years or longer.
